New York Giants Struggling Through Brutal Week as Problems Continue to Pile Up

After learning that veteran defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris would now miss the 2026 season, Malik Nabers won’t be returning anytime soon, and the Giants are stuck with their general manager for the foreseeable future, the Giants have begun their offseason activities (OTAs), but things aren’t going as smoothly as they would like for the NFC East squad.

DL Roy Robertson-Harris tears Achilles

As the Giants continue to make changes to their defensive line throughout the offseason, they will now be without their veteran defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris. According to ESPN, Robertson-Harris tore his Achilles tendon on Thursday while participating in an OTA practice. It is currently anticipated that the defensive lineman will be sidelined for the entirety of the 2026 season. This is unfortunate news for a team that also suffered the loss of Dexter Lawrence in a trade a few months ago.

Malik Nabers injury update

The #1 receiver for the Giants suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in September of 2025, which caused him to miss the most of the 2025 season. A second treatment was recently necessary for Malik Nabers in order to remove some scar tissue that had been producing stiffness. This was done despite the fact that his rehabilitation had already been a lengthy process.

John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Giants, gave a statement to the media in which he stated that it is tough to determine when Nabers would return to the team.
