Defensively, this Texas Tech team is as complete as any in the Big 12 — first in rushing defense, third in scoring defense, and top-five in yards per play allowed. That combination makes them a nightmare matchup for UCF, who has struggled to move the ball against physical, disciplined defenses. Texas Tech’s recent results underscore their dominance: a 42-0 shutout of Oklahoma State, a 43-20 road win at Kansas State, and a comfortable 29-7 win over BYU. The Red Raiders have been cashing tickets for bettors all season long and enter this matchup with tremendous confidence, particularly at home, where they’ve been unbeatable against the spread.
