These are the 2024 NFL Head Coach Rankings:

1. Andy Reid – Kansas City Chiefs

As an NFL head coach, Andy Reid has aged like exquisite wine. Reid has already established a path to the NFL Hall of Fame. Reid’s ability to game plan is comparable to that of any head coach in the league, and he continues to perform at an exceptional level for the Kansas City Chiefs.

2. Sean McVay – Los Angeles Rams

The success that Sean McVay has achieved as the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams is difficult to ignore. McVay assisted in the Rams’ return to the postseason in a year that was devoid of expectations. With McVay once again at the forefront, anything is feasible in Los Angeles.

3. John Harbaugh – Baltimore Ravens

John Harbaugh has a pristine record as the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. Harbaugh remains one of the league’s best head coaches, despite the fact that his sole Super Bowl victory occurred over a decade ago. Yet another Lombardi trophy could elevate his position on this list.

4. Kyle Shanahan – San Francisco 49ers

After winning a national championship at Michigan, Jim Harbaugh has returned to the NFL. While some may doubt his position on our list, it is important to remember that he has a 44-19-1 career record as an NFL head coach. Will he be able to assist in the turnaround of the Los Angeles Chargers?

8. Matt LaFleur – Green Bay Packers

Initially, there were those who questioned whether Matt LaFleur possessed the necessary experience to become a successful NFL head coach. Now, those individuals appear to be very foolish. LaFleur has compiled a 56-27 record as the head coach of Green Bay. LaFleur is a significant factor in the continued optimism of many regarding the Packers’ current situation.

9. Kevin O’Connell – Minnesota Vikings

Kevin O’Connell is prepared for his third year as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. It is quite simple to become enthusiastic about the potential of this individual when this roster undergoes a turnaround, given the circumstances he has been dealt.

10. Sean McDermott – Buffalo Bills

13. DeMeco Ryans – Houston Texans

17. Jonathan Gannon – Arizona Cardinals

With an abundance of weaponry at his disposal and a healthy roster, Jonathan Gannon is poised to truly demonstrate his offensive capabilities. Certainly, the Cardinals require improved personnel on the defensive side of the ball; however, Gannon’s primary skill was insinuation. We will determine whether he can effectively execute on both sides of the field this season in Arizona.

18. Mike McDaniel – Miami Dolphins

The offensive assets of Miami are self-evident; however, their head coach, Mike McDaniel, is a significant factor in their ability to establish the necessary unity to achieve success. McDaniel’s exceptional offensive acumen secures him a position at the conclusion of our top ten.

19. Todd Bowles – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Todd Bowles was able to adjust to the situation last season. Will Bowles be able to guide them to another NFC South championship? He will face a challenging challenge with an Atlanta team that has improved, but Bowles demonstrated a coaching tool that we had not yet seen in his arsenal last year.

20. Mike Macdonald – Seattle Seahawks

From a defensive perspective, it is effortless to become enthusiastic about the contributions of Mike Macdonald as a head coach. It is evident that he also surrounded himself with some pleasant offensive instructors in order to maintain equilibrium. The Seattle Seahawks have the potential to become a standout team in the NFC this season as a consequence.

21. Shane Steichen – Indianapolis Colts

24. Brian Daboll – New York Giants

The tenure of Brian Daboll as the head coach of the New York Giants has been a mixed affair thus far. With Daboll at the reins, the Giants have yet to demonstrate that they have a competent quarterback. Consequently, it is challenging to ascertain the extent of his potential as a chief coach.

25. Doug Pederson – Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have similar aspirations to Doug Pederson, who won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles. Although it will be a more difficult task with the Jaguars, there are still numerous reasons to appreciate Pederson’s contributions as a bench manager.

26. Jerod Mayo – New England Patriots

Jerod Mayo kicked off his NFL head coaching debut with a big upset on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals. If Mayo can continue to get that type of buy in from his team on a weekly basis, the New England Patriots might just have their head coach of the future. There’s a lot to like about how he profiles defensively, and it’ll be telling what he can bring to the table offensively, too.

27. Dave Canales – Carolina Panthers

Dave Canales is indicative of a trend of young, talented offense coordinators who are consistently granted head coaching opportunities. We observed the impact that Canales had on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense last season in order to secure this position. In 2024, will he have the same impact on a young Carolina Panthers team?

28. Brian Callahan – Tennessee Titans

It’s going to take some time for rookie head coach Brian Callahan to find his place in the NFL. We know the types of offensive schemes that he can bring to the table, which should prove valuable in Tennessee. Last season, Antonio Pierce provided us with a delightful example of his ability to function as a head coach in the NFL while serving as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. After securing a full-time position this offseason, it will be interesting to observe the extent to which Pierce can utilize the entire offseason to formulate a game plan. Pierce’s motivational strategies may have contributed to his 5-4 record during his inaugural season. Will Pierce elevate the Raiders to one of the most formidable teams in the NFL?

31. Jeff Ulbrich, New York Jets

Jeff Ulbrich, the defensive coordinator for the Jets, was appointed as the interim head coach of New York after Robert Saleh was terminated. Despite the Jets’ transition to a new head coach, their struggles have persisted, despite Ulbrich’s adverse circumstances.

New York is presently 1-3 and is significantly outside the playoff race since firing Saleh. The Jets have the potential to make a genuine postseason run if they capitalize on a relatively easy schedule in the second half of the regular season.

29. Darren Rizzi, New Orleans Saints

Following Dennis Allen’s termination, Darren Rizzi, the special teams coordinator for the New Orleans Saints, was appointed as the team’s interim head coach.

In Week 10, Rizzi will make his NFL head coaching debut when the Falcons travel to New Orleans.
