Arapahoe Park History

Since its reopening in 1992, the Arapahoe Park race track in Aurora, Colorado, has provided people who are passionate about racing with some of the most thrilling events that are now taking place. Arapahoe Park is able to maintain a high level of excitement throughout the week by hosting live races beginning on Saturday and continuing through Monday, as well as simulcast racing throughout the rest of the week. You can take part in a wide range of stakes, such as thoroughbred racing, quarter horse stakes, appaloosa events, and Arabian dashes.

Arapahoe Park is home to an oval track that is one mile long and is 1,029 feet in length from the last turn to the finish line. Beginning in June and continuing through September, this exceptional horse racing facility hosts live racing events, with post times beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon. Arapahoe is home to a number of exciting quarter horse prizes, some of which include the Cherry Creek Futurity, the Lucile Rowe Derby, the Rocky Mountain Futurity, the Mile High Futurity, and the Mile High Derby.

This competition ranges from 330 yards to 400 yards in length. The Inaugural, the Arapahoe Park Sprint, the Front Range, the Colorado Derby, the CTBA Lassie Stakes, the CTBA Futurity, the Silver Cup Futurity, the CTBA Breeders’ Oaks, and other events are among the ones that devoted followers of thoroughbred horse racing can see. Events such as the Cobra Challenge, Western Stakes Futurity, and Harvest Cup Futurity are also among the most well-known competitions.
