Miami Dolphins Brief History

The Dolphins were born as an AFL expansion franchise in 1965, and, since they joined the NFL in 1970, they turned into one of the most dominant franchises of the 20th century, much in part to the work of famous coach Don Shula. 2007 proved to be quite negative for Miami as they finished with a 1-15 record, the worst in the history of the franchise. They were able to make it to the playoffs only three times during that decade. And much of their bad times were a consequence of not being able to find a proficient quarterback to replace Dan Marino.

Buffalo Bills

When it comes to climate and culture, the cities of Miami and Buffalo are quite different, and these differences definitely triggered a rivalry that’s still alive to this day. The Dolphins were quite superior to the Bills during the seventies, winning all 20 games versus Buffalo during that decade.

But all that changed when Jim Kelly took on as the starting quarterback for Buffalo, as both teams became quite dominant.
