Former Iowa Offensive Lineman Wins Super Bowl LX Championship

Another year, another victory in the Super Bowl for a former football star from the college of Iowa.

Cooper DeJean and the Philadelphia Eagles were the ones who were able to retrieve the Vince Lombardi Trophy from the previous season. Mason Richman, a former offensive lineman for the Iowa Hawkeyes, is currently playing with the Seattle Seahawks and has earned the title for this season.

In Super Bowl LX, which took place on Sunday, the Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots by a score of 29-13, so claiming the second Lombardi Trophy for the franchise. In the most important game of the year, they were able to triumph thanks to a resounding defensive performance and a flawless offensive showing. Moreover, Richman has already accomplished one of the most important objectives that every player in the NFL strives to accomplish in his first season in the league.

Richman was selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Prior to that, he had been a starter on the offensive line for four years at Iowa, where he was instrumental in guiding the team through a period of revival during his tenure with the program. Despite the fact that he just participated in a couple of games with Seattle, he will still be able to proclaim himself a Super Bowl champion for the rest of his life. Another ring is added to the collection of the Iowa football team, which already has a number of them.
