Tigers vs Mariners Prediction for ALDS Game 5
Tigers vs Mariners Game 5 predictions
With a commanding victory against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday, the Detroit Tigers were able to effectively push this series to a deciding fifth game. Now, if their ace can continue to push, they will have the potential to progress to the American League Championship Series.
My predictions for the Tigers and Mariners matchup describe the reasons why Seattle’s arms will ultimately fail to meet expectations in what is expected to be an exciting fifth game.
Without further ado, let’s get started with some Major League Baseball picks for the 10th of October.

Who Will Win Tigers vs Mariners Game 5
Getting a couple runs on the board for Tarik Skubal will be an easy task for the Tigers to accomplish in this situation. In the meanwhile, the Mariners will implement a pitching strategy that is currently unclear, and it is quite likely that they will utilize some up-and-down mid-rotation pitchers. In this series, the offense of Detroit has not been particularly impressive, but the offense of Seattle has been just as poor. Based on their ace, I believe the Tigers are able to pull out this victory.
Tigers vs Mariners Best Bet – Tigers Moneyline
Considering that October is not often a month in which offenses flourish, it is possible that we should not create a mountain out of the fact that both of these teams have hit. 218 and.219, respectively, are the values. Having said that, the Detroit Tigers have appeared to be a slightly stronger group at the plate this playoffs, with a walk rate of 9.2% and a strikeout to walk ratio of 0.35. This places them in fifth place among the 12 teams that will be playing this month.
At the very least, Detroit has been able to acquire some baserunners, and despite the fact that this Seattle Mariners staff has not walked a great deal of players, it has not appeared to be a difference. In the second game of this series, the Tigers faced Luis Castillo and walked four times while only striking out three batters. It would appear that they will face Castillo once more in this game, although in the most likely scenario, they will be behind George Kirby instead.
This is a team that did a good job of running the bases during the regular season, but the stats that were projected have not in any way indicated that the Tigers have had any kind of bad luck. In spite of the fact that they began on a negative note at the plate. Certainly, this group possesses a great deal of influence.
As opposed to ranking 28th versus ground-ballers, they have a ranking of 12th against fly-ball pitchers this year. This is an important distinction to make considering that Kirby and Castillo both pitch to a significant number of fly balls, just like their colleagues as well.
With a high anticipated batting average of.257 and a significant amount of quality contact against him, Kirby has not been one of my favorite starters. However, it has been his strikeout and walk figures that have allowed him to make it through games. Additionally, he has relied on his home field, where he has a quality 3.38 earned run average (ERA), but as Tarik Skubal is currently on the disabled list for the Tigers, this may not be sufficient.
This playoffs, nobody has really been able to get close to the left-handed pitcher, with the exception of Jorge Polanco, who hit two solo home runs in Game 2. He has only allowed eight hits in 14 and a half innings, with 23 strikeouts and four walks. Only one of those hits came against Seattle, which has demonstrated that it will swing early and frequently due to its aggressive swinging.
The Tigers have a fantastic matchup here with two fly-ball pitchers who are expected to throw, and there is no question that their pitching plan is superior with Skubal being able to go long into games. There is no way you can not adore the road favorites.
Tigers vs Mariners Game 5 Same-Game Parlay
It is very evident that I want to draw attention to two members of this group, the first of whom is a superstar who is largely underappreciated in this league.
With a batting average of.259 and a hit in all but two of his seven games throughout the postseason, Riley Greene has been a machine. He has a robust x-base average of.265 and a projected slugging percentage of.593. During the course of this season, he has dominated right-handed batters to the tune of a.276 batting average, and he seems to favor fly-ballers over ground-ballers.
Additionally, the victory that Jorge Polanco achieved over Skubal cannot be ignored. He is currently 9-for-29 in his lifetime with a.280 xBA in his 29 at-bats. In addition, he has walked in none of his at-bats while striking out only five batters, which should indicate that the ball is coming back into play here.
Since the second game, he has been quiet, but today he will be facing his longtime pal.
Tigers vs Mariners Home Run Pick for Game 5 – Dillon Dingler
I have been counting on Dillon Dingler to hit a home run in each and every game of this series, and he has come agonizingly close to doing so. As of right now, he is the most dangerous home run weapon on this squad. He flew out to the track early in Game 4, and he has now amassed a.465 xSLG and a terrific 46.7% hard-hit rate in 15 at-bats. He is currently the most dangerous home run weapon on this team.
There is an unbelievable amount of value to be discovered here, despite the fact that homers are difficult to come by at T-Mobile. Continued scorching of the ball by the guy.
