Western Kentucky vs LSU Prediction – College Football Picks
Now we have the Western Kentucky vs LSU Prediction for both teams.
This Saturday, college football action will take place at Tiger Stadium, featuring a matchup between the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and the LSU Tigers. An LSU versus Western Kentucky prediction is shown here. We are going to examine this from a betting standpoint in order to decide which of the two teams, LSU and Western Kentucky, is the best pick.
The Western Kentucky Wildcats started the year off with a strong 5-1 run. There was just one defeat, and that was against Toledo. Other than that, they were victorious over Sam Houston, North Alabama, Nevada, Missouri State, and Delaware. Following a defeat at the hands of FIU, the team went on to achieve victories over LA Tech and New Mexico State. In the game against the Aggies, which the Hilltoppers won by a score of 35-16, the Hilltoppers scored 14 points in two different quarters, accumulated 429 yards, averaged 5.4 yards per play, had 24 first downs, and committed two turnovers. A total of 14 first downs and five of eighteen third-down conversions were allowed by the WKU defense, which allowed only 176 yards to be gained by the opposing team.
The Hilltoppers were able to maintain a 21-0 lead by the halftime break in their game against Middle Tennessee, but they were ultimately defeated by a score of 13-7 in the third quarter. Despite this, Western Kentucky ended up scoring in each and every quarter on their way to a victory by a score of 42-26. Rodney Tisdale has completed 29 of 41 passes for 371 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. During the game, Marvis Parrish rushed the ball 12 times for 102 yards, while La’Vell Wright carried the ball 11 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Matthew Henry led the team in receiving with seven receptions, garnering 135 yards and a touchdown. His performance was essential in the victory.
On the other hand, LSU began the year with victories over Clemson, Louisiana Tech, Florida, and Southeastern Louisiana, but they ended the year with a defeat at the hands of Ole Miss. Next came a stretch of three games in a row, beginning with a victory against South Carolina and ending with defeats to Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, and Alabama. On November 8, the Tigers finished their game against the Tide with a score of 20-9. During the game, the Tigers committed ten team penalties, but they only had thirteen first downs, a 4.0 yards per play, and 59 rushing yards. In addition, they lost a couple of turnovers. In the Tigers’ loss, the defense allowed Alabama to gain 344 yards, 5.5 yards per play, and 17 first downs. Both of these numbers contributed to the Tigers’ overall loss.
The Tigers were able to narrowly avoid defeat in their matchup versus Arkansas the previous Saturday. After the first quarter, LSU was losing by a score of 14-0, and by the third quarter, they were trailing by a score of 22-16. After everything was said and done, however, the Tigers emerged victorious with a score of 23-22. Michael Van Buren, the quarterback, completed 21 of 31 passes for 221 yards and a touchdown, and Caden Durham, the leading rusher, carried the ball 12 times for 65 yards and a touchdown. When it came to the winning effort, Zavion Thomas was the top receiver with six receptions for a total of eighty yards.
In this case, I will most likely take a chance on WKU. Despite this, the Hilltoppers allowed a Middle Tennessee team that was having a difficult time to score a significant amount of points last weekend. This particular game resulted in Western Kentucky giving up a total of 541 yards, 20 first downs, and seven out of fifteen attempts on third down. On the other hand, the offense managed to rack up 642 yards, 271 rush yards, 8.1 yards per play, and 29 first downs, which managed to keep the team in the lead throughout the entire game and ultimately lead to victory. Despite this, the Raiders’ nine penalties did not make the situation any worse. At this time, WKU had won all three of its games in a row, having scored at least 28 points in each of those games. On the other hand, they have forfeited at least 26 goals in two of them.
When it comes to LSU, they can give credit to their defense for their victory over Arkansas over the weekend. During the high-stakes comeback triumph, the Tigers only allowed two out of eleven attempts on third down to be successful and had three takeaways. There have been three of the last four games in which LSU has scored at least 23 points, yet they have lost three of those four games. When it comes to this weekend’s showdown, it would not be strange to see a total that is of a respectable level. If all goes according to plan, I believe WKU will be able to pull it off.
