10. JIM EDMONDS

After being moved from the Angels to the Cardinals, he reached his peak. He was selected as an All Star four times and won eight gold gloves. He is a member of the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and has received one Silver Slugger award.

9. OSCAR CHARLESTON

He played for 43 years in all and received a lifetime award.365 batting mean for the team. Along with 210 stolen bases, he finished with 1210 hits and 143 home runs. His MLB career spanned 1921–1941. Later on, he succeeded as a manager.

8. MIKE TROUT

He is a three-time American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) winner (taking first place in 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018), an 11-time MLB All-Star, and a nine-time winner of the Silver Slugger Award. He now plays for the LA Angels. In addition, he led the US national team to victory in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. He is recognized as one of the greatest baseball players of all time and frequently the finest player of his generation.

7. ANDRUW JONES

He was chosen for the All Star team five times and won the Gold Glove award ten times. He led the league in RBI and home runs in 2005 and won the Hank Aaron Award. Jones led the league in putouts for six consecutive seasons.

6. DUKE SNIDER

Snider was a seven-time All-Star, led the National League in RBIs once, and led the league in home runs in one season. For three seasons, he led the National League in center fielders’ fielding average. Snider competed for two teams that won world titles.

In terms of career home runs (389), RBI (1,271), strikeouts (1,123), and extra-base hits (814), he led the Dodgers. The Los Angeles Dodgers also hold the record for the most intentional walks in a single season (26 in 1956). Throughout the 1950s, he led MLB in RBI (1,031).

5. JOE DIMAGGIO

He was a member of nine world championship teams and was selected as an All Star thirteen times. He led the league in runs batted in and home runs twice, and he was voted the American League MVP three times. Many believe that his 56-game hitting streak record will never be surpassed. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 955.

4. TRIS SPEAKER

Speaker finished sixth in all time with a career batting average of.345. His 792 doubles in his MLB career set a record. Fifth on the list of all-time hits is him with 3,514. In terms of defense, Speaker is the lifetime leader in assists, double plays, and outfielders’ unassisted double plays. The location “where triples go to die” was the nickname given to his fielding glove.

3. MICKEY MANTLE

Mantle had a lifetime batting average of.298 with an on-base plus slugging percentage of.997 and an on-base percentage of.421. Among his 2,415 hits were 344 doubles, 72 triples, and 536 home runs. Mantle was skilled at drawing walks despite leading the league in strikeouts five times, a mark he held until his retirement. He ended with at least 100 walks in a season ten times, and he led the majors in walks five times.

He has a lifetime fielding percentage of.982 as an outfielder. During his 18-year career, Mantle was chosen for the All-Star team in every season until 1951 and 1966. With the Yankees, he won seven World Series in a row while playing in twelve total. He hit.257 across 65 games in the World Series and now has the marks for most home runs (18), RBIs (18), and runs scored (42).

2. TY COBB

Although it is hard to rank Cobb second rather than first, here is his resume. It is commonly acknowledged that Cobb broke 90 MLB records in his playing career. Even after accounting for home runs, his cumulative total of 4,065 runs scored and batted in remains the best of any major league player. As of the completion of the 2022 season, he was still the owner of multiple records, including the best career hitting average (.366) and the most career batting titles (11, depending on the source).

For nearly fifty years, he held numerous other records: most hits in a career (4,189 or 4,191, depending on the source) until 1985; most runs in a career (2,245 or 2,246 depending on the source) until 2001; most games played (3,035) and at-bats (11,429 or 11,434 depending on the source) until 1974; and the current record for most stolen bases in a career (892) until 1977. In addition to becoming the youngest player ever to accumulate 4,000 hits and score 2,000 runs, he still owns the lifetime records for most home runs stolen (54), consecutive home runs stolen (four times), and stolen bases in succession (six times).

Cobb has played in the fifth-most games of any player in history and has made the most errors—271—of any outfielder in the American League (AL).

1. WILLIE MAYS

He played for the 1954 World Series victors and was selected as an All-Star 24 times. Together with 1951’s Rookie of the Year, he was awarded two National League MVP awards.
