The NBA “is looking into the allegations” that Giddey had an inappropriate relationship with a kid, according to a league representative.

Prior to the American Thanksgiving holiday on Wednesday, Nov. 22, social media users began to share reports of possible improper behavior. Giddey and head coach Mark Daigneault refrained from commenting when the Thunder met again for practice on Friday, Nov. 24, as there were no games or teams in action on the holiday.

Following Thunder practice on November 24, Giddey was questioned about the charges; he said, “I understand the question, obviously, but there’s no further comment right now.”

Adding that it’s a “personal matter and I have no comment on it,” Daigneault remained silent as well. That’s going to be my response to anything connected.”

Later on November 24, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Tim MacMahon of ESPN both reported that the NBA was investigating claims that Giddey was involved in an inappropriate relationship.
