Texas A&M Returning Production Ranking: Where the Aggies Stand Among SEC Offenses

Texas A&M Returning Production Ranking_ Where the Aggies Stand Among SEC Offenses

At the beginning of the 2026 college football season, Texas A&M is ranked among the top teams in the Southeastern Conference in terms of offensive production returning.

Michael Bratton, also known as SEC Mike, is a podcaster and analyst who has posted statistics on his website. According to these statistics, the Aggies have the fourth-best returning production on the offensive side of the ball. A number of players, such as the dynamic wide receivers Mario Craver, Ashton Bethel-Roman, and Terry Bussey, as well as the running backs Jamarion Morrow and Rueben Owens II, and the veteran quarterback Marcel Reed, are included in this group.

A change in the offensive coordinator and a large number of departures in the trenches will determine whether or not Texas A&M is able to carry over the success they had in the previous season into the upcoming season. In 2025, Texas A&M finished fourth in the Southeastern Conference with an average of 33.7 points per game.

Wilkin Formby (Alabama), Tyree Adamas (LSU), Trovon Baugh (South Carolina), and Coen Echols (LSU) are just some of the players that were able to secure huge transfers from SEC rivals through the transfer portal. Head coach Mike Elko was able to secure these transfers despite losing four of the five starters to the NFL Draft in 2026. The success of Texas A&M’s offensive will be contingent not only on the leap that Reed takes as quarterback, but also on the questions that remain with regard to the offense at the present time.

With 3,169 passing yards and 25 touchdowns, the junior quarterback from Nashville, Tennessee, had a stellar performance. In addition to rushing for 493 yards and six touchdowns on the ground, he registered 243.77 yards throwing per game, which placed him in fourth place in the Southeastern Conference. Reed is an impressive dual-threat quarterback who made a significant step forward in the previous season by assisting Texas A&M in achieving its first 11-0 start since 1992 and making it to the College Football Playoff. If Reed wants to improve, he will need to address his inconsistency as a passer coming into this year’s campaign. This is because he will be competing in nine games inside the conference, which is a challenging amount of competition.

The return of Craver, Bethel-Roman, and Bussey offers Reed with electric talent that can extend the field and destroy opposition secondaries. Although the departure of star wide receiver KC Concepcion to the NFL was a big blow to the wide receiving corps, the return of these three players provides Reed with explosive skill. In spite of the fact that Bethel-Roman and Bussey are still recuperating from injuries sustained during the offseason, the Texas A&M offense has the potential to be one of the most explosive groups in the conference in 2026 if it can maintain its current level of health.
