Mississippi State Football Lands WR Javarious Griffin Commitment – Recruiting News
Javarious Griffin declared to Rivals, “I’m home.”
After visiting Starkville on Saturday, the playmaker from Cleveland, Mississippi’s Cleveland Central committed to both Mississippi State and Jeff Lebby. Griffin decided he wanted to be a Bulldog after meeting with the coaching staff, watching practice, and attending a baseball game.
Griffin remarked, “I love how the coaches love me as a person and as a player.” “I’ve always felt that State is real. I’ve been informed repeatedly that I’m the top receiver on their board. I feel like the state is my home.
The spring’s first padded session left a lasting effect.
“The guys were eager to get out there because today was the first day of pads,” he remarked. “I found the one-on-ones and the trash talk particularly noteworthy because they are excellent features of the game.”
Griffin’s choice was largely influenced by wide receivers coach Phillip Montgomery.
Griffin remarked, “He’s a great guy.” “Coach Montgomery is focused on his business and wants his team to succeed.” He’s more concerned with me growing into a man, which is what I admire about him, and we hardly spoke football.
Griffin, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect who was previously ranked No. 18 in Mississippi, had Vanderbilt and Ole Miss at the top of his list.
He remarked, “I’m just thinking about State right now.” “Returning to State is the only official visit I have planned.”
