Tua Tagovailoa Has Personal Security Amid String of Break-Ins at NFL Residences
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is prepared in the wake of a series of burglaries that have targeted the residences of NFL players. In a press conference on Wednesday, Tagovailoa disclosed that he maintains personal security personnel at his residence to provide protection for his family and residence while he is absent.
On Monday night, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s residence was burglarized, rendering the matter of intrusions in prominent NFL residences far more pertinent. However, on Wednesday, Tagovailoa appeared to be at ease with his security.
“We have personal security to handle all of that.” “We have someone with my wife when we are on the road, and we also have someone at the home who is surveying the house,” Tagovailoa stated.
The quarterback disclosed that he had employed security personnel subsequent to the burglary of one of his vehicles. “It was a bit too near for my liking, given that my family was present,” he stated.
The security personnel are armed, according to Tagovailoa. “Therefore, I ask that you reconsider your decision to visit my residence.”
The NFL has been grappling with break-ins for the past few weeks, and in November, the league issued a security alert to inform players about the burglaries. Burrow represents the most recent victim, as his residence was burglarized during his Monday Night Football match against the Dallas Cowboys. The residences of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, who are both members of the Kansas City Chiefs, were also burglarized last month.
Players such as Bobby Portis Jr. of the Milwaukee Bucks and Mike Conley Jr. of the Minnesota Timberwolves have recently experienced burglaries, prompting the NBA to issue a similar warning to its players. Investigators are of the opinion that the break-ins may be associated with a crime organization of well-organized thieves with connections to South America, as indicated by numerous reports.
