Rob Gronkowski Injury Update from Fanatics Flag Football Classic
At the Fanatics Flag Football Classic on Saturday afternoon at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, legendary NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski made a comeback to the football field.
With three catches on the first drive, including a two-point convert, Gronk got off to a fast start. Sadly, after grabbing the two-point pass from his former quarterback, Tom Brady, his day came to an end.
Gronk fell to his feet and tried to rise, but his foot slipped on some turf on the field’s edge, pulling his hamstring.
Gronk made an effort to see if he could make it back, but the risk was just too great.
In the three-team round robin competition, Gronk and Brady represented Team Founders. The USA flag football squad participates in the event alongside two NFL-star teams, squad Founders and Team Wildcats.
Team USA leads Team Founders 24-8 at the half after crushing Team Wildcats in the first game.
