It is time to securely place Mike McDaniel in the hot seat. McDaniel has committed numerous errors that have resulted in losses for the Miami Dolphins, which is why they are currently at 5-7 following a 30-17 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The issues are too evident to ignore, and McDaniel is incapable of leading the Dolphins.

McDaniel’s introduction of a contemporary offensive strategy to the Dolphins during his inaugural season was a significant accomplishment. This led to his rookie head coaching début against the New England Patriots, which he won, and contributed to the Dolphins’ first victory over the Buffalo Bills since 2018.

The Dolphins made their first postseason appearance since 2016 in 2022, finishing with a 9-8 record. The season offered optimism for the potential of the future under McDaniel, despite the fact that they would lose to the Bills with Skylar Thompson at quarterback.

Wes Welker should be the head coach who replaces him. Currently, Welker serves as the Dolphins’ wide receivers coach; however, he previously served in the NFL for twelve seasons. Welker would be aware of the ethos that is essential for the development of a championship team. He would also be able to maintain some of the same offensive philosophies that have contributed to his success, while also leveraging the talent by incorporating a player’s perspective.
